The Challenge

QuadReal was formed through the consolidation of four seasoned players in the Canadian real estate investment and management industry. Guided by a long-term vision, QuadReal’s team was formed from diverse and complementary backgrounds in Canadian and international investment, development and real estate management. QuadReal aspires to create a superior working environment for their employees by expanding skillsets, introducing technologies, and providing opportunities for advancement. QuadReal was seeking assistance to review their current processes to identify opportunities for improvement and to prepare the organization for the implementation of WorkDay, as well as creating accountabilities and increasing transparency in the work environment. QuadReal was looking a partner that can accelerate results and assist them in creating a culture of continuous improvement in-house.

Propel Solutions Ltd. was selected by QuadReal to assist with the review of the Human Resource Processes to assist them in establishing effective Human Resource Processes while implementing the Workday Solution.

The Solution

The focus of the project was to develop current state People Management Processes with an eye towards the WorkDay implementation. The service delivery processes were assessed in their current state through interviews, workshops, and document reviews.  The objective was to effectively engage stakeholders from across the business in the review of 12 – 14 identified People Management Processes to identify opportunities for improvement in the service delivery and align processes to the Workday Solution.

The Results

Propel ingrained ourselves in the Project Team to learn the Workday technology and then facilitated process mapping sessions with cross functional stakeholders from across the organization. Propel was able to assist the organization with the identification of opportunities to streamline existing processes as well as leverage the Workday solution to further improve processes. Stakeholders and the technology implementation team were able to leverage the mapped processes to complete the required technology configuration documents.   As a testament to the success of the engagement the Propel was asked to further assist with the development of year end processes.
